About Our Company
CopperState Steel Detailing Inc. (CSD) has fundamentally changed our profession here in the U.S. and we are proud of the high standard we’ve set. Our company encompasses a business model structured around our owner’s careers with backgrounds in structural engineering, steel fabrication estimating, and of course, structural and architectural steel detailing. CSD’s board has worked together since 2009 to correct the stigma associated with our industry throughout the world. Their unique expertise in collaboration, has launched a state-of-the-art concept for our industry and the results have been astonishing.
Work Platforms
We have licenses to all software utilized and work closely with each to combat piracy.
Steel Detailing
In order to be eligible for employment as a detailer at CopperState Steel Detailing (CSD), applicants must have a minimum of five years of experience specifically with structural steel. Once employed, they are considered entry-level detailers and will spend the next 12 months in our developmental (probationary) program. Our customers can be assured that their projects are being detailed by the best in the industry. We employ over 60 detailers, leads, project managers, and support staff on multiple, rotating shifts to maximize efficiency and productivity.
Take Offs
Our take off division is utilized by fabrication and erecting company estimators interested in producing more bids. This division is led by a team of steel estimators who model each project using Tekla. From this model, our customers receive a 3D snapshot of the steel, a take-off report, and a markup of the contract drawings to easily identify the steel picked up. CopperState Steel Detailing’s (CSD) take off division has grown faster than any other department due to the value and benefit/cost ratio. Hiring CSD to produce your take off will come at a very competitive rate. However, a customer who hires us to detail the same awarded project will be credited back the cost of the take off service making it free of charge.
Connection Design Engineering
CopperState Steel Detailing’s (CSD) design team consists of (8) designers and (3) engineers with current licenses in over 46 states. Projects all over the U.S. have a growing requirement for connection design being deferred by EOR/AOR design teams. This service is provided in-house to streamline the process of design engineering and reduce long lead times. Not only do our customers avoid longer lead times, but they also benefit from a reduced cost of having CSD’s detailing and engineering teams collaborating under the same roof.
